agribond is a liquid, cold curing, solventless binder based on modified 2-component epoxy-resin for bonding, solidification and stabilization for all kind of loose bulk material and aggregates. agribond is consisting of resin-component (A-component) and hardener (B-component) and has to be mixed on site. After mixing, a chemical process is initialized which leads to the hardening of the binder. During the application on bulk material the resins seeps through the aggregate structure, coating each aggregate with a thin film of resin and bonding the aggregate contact points. The main application fields of agribond are the solidification and stabilization of track-ballast in railway construction like bonding ballast for transition zones, side slope stabilization, safeguarding against swirling aggregate (e.g. suction of high speed trains), track bed stabilization, improvement of transverse displacement resistance and furthermore. agribond also may be used as a binder for fine-grained mortars of colored gravel or high grade chippings (single-grained mortars) for paving of emergency ways, pedestrian walk ways, easy-to-clean overlays etc. on track-ballast. The application of agribond should be done with a special computerized 2-component hot spray equipment, which monitors and controls the exact mixing-ratio continuously. For the mixing of mortars the use of manual dosage devices and compulsory mixers is necessary. |
